The Texas Instruments TPA3250 device is a high-performance Class-D power amplifier that delivers true high-quality sound with Class-D efficiency. The device features an advanced integrated feedback design and proprietary high-speed gate driver error correction (PurePath¢â Ultra-HD). This technology enables ultra-low distortion and excellent audio quality within the audio frequency band. The device operates from a 32 V supply and can drive up to 2 W x 130 W peak into a 4 ¥Ø load, or 2 W x 70 W continuous into an 8 ¥Ø load, and has a 2 VRMS analog input interface for interoperability with TI PCM5242, etc. High-performance DACs are seamlessly patched. In addition to excellent audio performance, the TPA3250 also achieves high power efficiency and sub-1 W power stage no-load consumption. This is achieved by using a 60 m¥Ø MOSFET and an optimized gate driver scheme with much lower no-load losses than typical discrete devices.
